Comedy Horror Movies and Stories: Hahaha! The Horror! Hahaha!
Comedy and horror are inescapably linked. It’s twisted, but true. Perhaps it was the first time a caveman began to tell a scary story around a fire, then regretted it and tried to relieve the tension by farting. We don’t know know. Humor and horror are two things that work well with each other in a lot of ways. No where is that seen more than in the comedy horror movies and stories that we all know and love.
Early comedy horror movies include Abbott and Costello meeting Frankenstein’s monster. Early stories include old ghost tales that resulted in a silly ending that you didn’t see coming. Fundamentally, we love to use the rise and fall of stories to juxtapose humor and horror next to each other.
