final cut movie

Kino Lorber Films previously announced that French director Michel Hazanavicius created a remake of Shin’ichirô Ueda’s highly acclaimed zombie film, One Cut of the Dead, titled Final Cut. The movie now has a release; it is set to hit theaters in the United States on July 14, 2023. Update: A new trailer for Final Cut is now available below.

Prior to the release of the movie, Final Cut will have its New York premiere at the Tribeca Festival on June 9. This rendition, helmed by Academy Award winner Michel Hazanavicius, revolves around a filmmaker (played by Romain Duris) who is assigned to shoot a live, low-budget zombie flick in a single continuous take, where each member of the cast and crew gradually transforms into a real zombie.

Starring notable talents such as Academy Award nominee Bérénice Bejo, Matilda Lutz, and Finnegan Oldfield, the movie Final Cut if it’s anything like the original promises to cleverly pay homage to the art of cinema while delivering a hilarious and blood-soaked genre parody with a self-aware concept.
