The plot revolves around the title character, Dolores Roach (played by Justina Machado), who returns to a gentrified Washington Heights after serving a 16-year prison sentence. With minimal belongings and her boyfriend missing, Dolores reconnects with her old friend Luis. However, her newfound stability is soon jeopardized, leading Dolores to take drastic measures for survival.
