In October Deadline, Collider, and other outlets announced horror movie Mother May I? starring Kyle Gallner (Smile, Nightmare on Elm Street) and Holland Roden (“Teen Wolf”). Now we have a trailer for Mother May I? to get a sense of just what the film has in store.
The North American distribution rights to em>Mother, May I? was acquired by Dark Sky Films with a release scheduled for sometime in Spring or Summer 2023. According to Collider, the film is being presented to international distributors at the European Film Market.
The description of Mother, May I?:
Mother, May I? shows what happens when a man’s fiancée starts behaving like his recently deceased mother, leading him to confront his deepest traumas to free her from the bewildering possession.
“Laurence Vannicelli and his team have crafted a true original,” says Dark Sky Films’ EVP Greg Newman about Mother, May I?, “by tying together supernatural elements to create an unforgettable film. Combined with a standout cast, Mother, May I? pushes boundaries and is filled with edge and emotion. We are excited about bringing this film to North American audiences.”
The trailer for Mother, May I? is just a tease, but it definitely comes with the eerie mood and suspense that accompanies many of the best Dark Sky horror films. This is one to look out for.
