Digital Cybercherries’ latest horror game, Paranormal Tales, has released a new gameplay trailer titled “The Man Downstairs”. And it looks intense.
The game is built on the Unreal Engine 5 and features found footage as the basis for the gameplay. Players will play through various video files that detail the moments leading up to a person’s disappearance, with each file functioning as a self-contained experience. These files include different locations and vastly different stories for the player to experience.
Gameplay mechanics include facial recognition, dynamic breathing, interaction with household objects, stumbling when sprinting, and of course, jump scares. The game promises to take players through multiple locations and tales where nothing is safe, as even an ordinary house can turn into something sinister. Imagine living inside the tapes of Paranormal Activity. Sounds great!
Paranormal Tales is expected for a Steam release sometime in 2023.
