Synopsis
The movie Arachnophobia (1990) follows deadly South American spiders that breed and overwhelm a small California town, causing the residents and an arachnophobic doctor to fight back.
After a nature photographer is bitten and dies in Venezuela, a highly poisonous spider hitches a ride back to the U.S. hidden in his coffin. In the small town of Canaima, it mates with a common house spider, starting an infestation.
The movie Arachnophobia (1990) shows arachnophobe Dr. Jennings arriving in town just as the deadly spiders start proliferating and killing pets and people. Teaming with insect exterminator Delbert, Jennings tries wiping out the spiders.
With the town in a deadly spider panic, Jennings hunts down the spider nest despite his phobias. After a harrowing confrontation, he manages to destroy the giant queen spider, ending the invasion.
