Arachnophobia (1990)

The movie Arachnophobia (1990) follows deadly South American spiders that breed and overwhelm a small California town, causing the residents and an arachnophobic doctor to fight back.

After a nature photographer is bitten and dies in Venezuela, a highly poisonous spider hitches a ride back to the U.S. hidden in his coffin. In the small town of Canaima, it mates with a common house spider, starting an infestation.

With the town in a deadly spider panic, Jennings hunts down the spider nest despite his phobias. After a harrowing confrontation, he manages to destroy the giant queen spider, ending the invasion.
