Synopsis
The movie Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991) is a horror slasher film directed by Rachel Talalay and produced by Robert Shaye and Aron Warner. The movie stars Robert Englund, Lisa Zane, Shon Greenblatt, Lezlie Deane, Yaphet Kotto, Breckin Meyer, Ricky Dean Logan, and Tobe Sexton.
Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare is the sixth installment in the Nightmare on Elm Street horror franchise. Picking up some time after previous films, it follows the iconic slasher Freddy Krueger as he continues to haunt the dreams of teens in the town of Springwood.
In the film, Freddy has killed all of the children in Springwood, leaving the town desolate. But one teenager, John, remains. Freddy manipulates John into going bringing others to Springwood so he can ultimately free himself from Springwood. We learn more about his origins.
The shelter director, Maggie Burroughs, has recurring dreams about a little girl which helps her realize she is Freddy’s daughter. Maggie decides she must return to the dream world and pull Freddy from the dream world in order to stop his reign of terror.
