Synopsis
The movie Gremlins (1984) follows young Billy Peltzer who receives a strange furry creature called a Mogwai as a pet, which spawns mischievous monsters who wreak havoc in his small town.
For Christmas, Billy’s father gives him a Mogwai named Gizmo. He is told to follow three rules – don’t expose it to bright light, don’t get it wet, and don’t feed it after midnight. However, Billy accidentally breaks all three rules.
The movie Gremlins (1984) shows Gizmo becoming wet and spawning other Mogwai who eat after midnight, transforming into evil Gremlins. The Gremlins multiply rapidly and overrun the town, damaging property and injuring people.
Billy and his girlfriend Kate try to stop the Gremlins, but the mischievous monsters are undeterred. In the chaos, the Gremlins invade a tavern, department store, and movie theater. Billy eventually manages to kill all the Gremlins except for the good-natured Gizmo.
