Synopsis
The movie Troll 2 (1990) is a comedy horror film directed by Claudio Fragasso and starring Michael Stephenson, George Hardy, and Margo Prey. Though titled Troll 2, it has no connection to the original Troll (1986).
The movie Troll 2 (1990) follows the Waits family who swap houses with the residents of Nilbog for a summer vacation. In Nilbog, the family is pursued by humanoid monsters disguised as townspeople who are actually vegetarian goblins. The goblins want to turn the family into plants so they can eat them.
Young Joshua Waits learns about the Nilbog goblins’ origins and weaknesses from his grandfather’s ghost. Joshua tries warning his family, but the goblins cast illusions and manipulate the townspeople to separate the family. One by one, Joshua’s family members are transformed into plants. In the end, Joshua defeats the goblins using a magical double decker baloney sandwich.
