Swarm: Donald Glover-produced Show on Amazon Gets a Trailer and Release Date

Murder. Sex. Music. That is what is promised with the Donald Glover-produced Swarm, a show coming soon to Amazon. And we have a new trailer to give us an idea of what is in store.

Here is the trailer for Swarm.

Donald Glover created Swarm with Atlanta co-executive producer Janine Nabers, as well as directed the pilot episode. Glover and Nabers executive produce the show together, with Nabers also serving as showrunner. The writing staff includes others names such as Malia Obama and Karen Joseph Adcock (How I Met Your Father).

Swarm will have a premiere at the SXSW festival in March 2023. It will be available on Amazon Prime starting March 17th, with all episodes available at that time.

The synopsis of Swarm:

From Janine Nabers and Donald Glover, Swarm follows Dre (Dominique Fishback), a young woman whose obsession with a pop star takes a dark turn.

Mixing horror and music is a potent force for movies and TV shows. It seems like with Swarm Donald Glover, Janine Nabers, and their team are excellent choices to take on such a task. There is often nothing more effective than mixing the passion and emotion of music and music fans with the obsession that often is the centerpiece of a good horror show.

Mixing the style of Atlanta with horror vibes and themes akin to Play Misty for Me and Misery seems like a match made in heaven (or hell). This is one to look out for!
