Science fiction and horror are a match made in hell. At the heart of it science fiction involves advanced or futuristic technology. Well, what an avenue for introducing horror elements. From killer robots to killer aliens and everything in between. From sci fi horror books like Frankenstein and Carrion Comfort to sci fi horror movies such as Alien and Predator.
There is a wide array of sci fi horror that can be appreciated that spans many years. While Frankenstein can be considered one of the earliest examples, certainly Jules Verne implemented such tropes as Monster horror and Natural horror into his tales. By the 20th Century even comics such as Buck Rogers were mixing “Space Vampires” into its otherwise science fiction tales.
